B.C. Liberal Party leader Kevin Falcon said Thursday that liberal MLA John Rustad said that climate change is causing CO2 emissions.
Nechako Lakes MLA Rustad discussed the CO2 Coalition's Posted comments from Patrick Moore, director and outspoken climate change denier. Both on Facebook and Twitter.

Falcon quickly took to social media to distance themselves from the controversy.
“Let me be clear, climate change is one of the most significant threats facing our future. We are committed to restoring the BC's position as leader.John Rustad will not speak on behalf of the caucus on this issue," Falcon said on Twitter.
There is a global scientific consensus on climate change. Several studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals show that human activity, primarily greenhouse gas emissions, is a major contributor to global warming.

Rustad has yet to return his request to clarify why he posted the comment.
