Langley, British Columbia — Jerome Blake set the fastest time in the men's 100-meter semi-finals at the Canadian Athletics Championships on Saturday.

A 26-year-old woman from Burnaby, British Columbia, crossed in 10.00 seconds and tied her best.

Toronto's Aaron Brown was the second fastest qualifying at 10.07, while Edmonton's Malachi Murray was third at 10.19.

There was no six-time Olympic medalist Andre De Grasse in this field. Andre De Grasse announced earlier in the week that it tested positive for COVID-19.

Kamika Bingham and Mackenzie Pierre Webster led the Women's 100 Semifinals at 11.32, while Leyabu Cannan was third at 11.38.
