The Atlanta Braves will seek a three-game winning streak as they begin a four-game series against the hosts Miami Marlins on Friday.

The Braves are just 5-4 against Miami this season. Atlanta had lost 5 of 6 before completing a shortened 2-game sweep of the Boston Red Sox.

"We had a tough weekend," Braves manager Brian Snicker said, noting that Atlanta lost four of his five games to the Mets in New York. “I never thought this would be bump-free.”

Meanwhile, the Marlins have had to overcome many obstacles in his 2022 journey.

Miami snapped a two-game skid and he ended the Philadelphia Phillies' seven-game winning streak 3-0 on Thursday afternoon.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly said "Tanner is making fun" after Scott recorded his save with four outs for the first time in his career. "They aren't that many pretty things."

Marlins right-hander Pablo Lopez (7-7, 3.57 ERA) beats Braves right-hander Jake Odrizzi (4-4, 3.76 ERA). Go up to the mound in the series opening match with.

Atlanta acquired Odridge from the Houston Astros before the trade deadline. He made his debut with the Braves on Saturday in a loss to the New York Mets, allowing 3 runs (2 earned runs) in 4 2/3 innings.

Odrizzi is 3-1 with a 3.41 ERA in his six starts with the Marlins.

Lopez has struggled in his career with the Braves. He has his 3-6 record, starting in his 12 games against Atlanta, and has a 5.70 ERA.

However, Lopez has been pretty good in his home career, with his ERA in Miami being his 3.16, while his ERA in the road is his 4.83.

Lopez got off to a great start to the season, posting a 3-0 record and a 0.39 ERA in his four games in April. His ERA was 5.34 in June, 4.65 in July, and on Saturday he had a poor start to August. He allowed four runs on nine hits in five innings in his 4–0 loss to the Chicago Cubs.

Clearly, the Marlins want Lopez on track. When Lopez starts this year, he's 12-10, but in his last two starts, he's 0-2.

Lopez will face his team with the Braves dealing with injuries, with second basemen Ozzie Albies (broken leg) and Orlando Arcia (left hamstring) missing. Albies has been out since his June.

But Braves rookie second baseman Vaughan Grissom hit a homer and stole a base in his major league debut Wednesday. According to MLB.com, he is the youngest player in MLB history to hit a home run and steal a base in his debut at the age of 21.

Grissom, his 11th-round pick for Atlanta in 2019, is from Florida and is adding a new twist to the series this weekend.

Atlanta's farm system has produced two new starters this season. In addition to Grissom, Braves center fielder Michael Harris II has played great in his 65 games. Harris has a .289 batting average, 10 homers, .809 OPS and 12 stolen bases without allowing a run.

The Braves' top players this year were first baseman Matt Olson (36 doubles, 21 homers, .815 OPS), shortstop Dansby Swanson (24 doubles, 16 homers, .811 OPS) and third baseman Austin Riley. . (33 doubles, 30 home runs, OPS.948).
