MOSCOW — Aiden Aslin, a British citizen sentenced to death by a court in the Russian-backed People's Republic of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, filed a complaint on Monday, the Russian Interfax agency reported on Monday. ..
"Today, the ruin's appeal against the ruling has been filed," his leading lawyer, Pavel Kosovan, told Interfax.
Aslin was captured last month with his companions Briton Sean Pinner and Brahim Sadun of Morocco while fighting Russia and Russian-backed troops in Ukraine as foreigners of the Ukrainian army. He was sentenced to death for "mercial activity".
TASS spokesman reported on Friday that the Supreme Court in the secession area had been appealed by Saadoun and Pinner lawyers, but Aslin had not yet filed an appeal.
