MONTREAL — Canadian junior star Jaden Weeks lost Saturday's National Bank Open qualifier to Daniel Altmaier 6-3, 6-4 by decision.

The 17-year-old Weeks from Montreal said on the show court at the IGA stadium that he sometimes pushed aside the 79th-ranked German, and in the end he fell in 1 hour and 27 minutes.
