Beijing — China promoted Xi Jinping, who cooperated with President Xi Jinping at the state level in the 1990s, as Minister of Public Security and oversaw powerful national police, Congress said Friday.
Formerly Deputy Minister of Public Security, Wang (64) will replace Zhao Kezhi, a member of the State Council at the age of 68.
