York Regional Police are asking GTA auto body and repair shops to contact them if they have recently done work on a dark-coloured Toyota truck or SUV after a hit and run in East Gwillimbury.

Police located the body of a male pedestrian who officers say was hit by a vehicle Sept. 28 on Davis Dr., between Bales Rd. and Warden Ave.

Police are looking for the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian and any witnesses.

Officers are also looking for a male driver of a green Toyota who is beleived to have stopped at the scene. He was wearing reflective clothing.
