Nova Scotia reported five more deaths attributed to COVID-19 in its latest weekly update.
In the seven days ending August 8, the state also saw 50 new hospitalizations. This is slightly down from her 54 hospitalizations reported the previous week.
As of Aug. 8, 50 people were hospitalized with COVID-19, seven of them in her ICU. His median age at hospital is 75 years.

According to the COVID-19 Dashboard, 473 people have died since the pandemic began. 361 of them occurred during the Omicron Wave, which began on December 8, 2021, and the median age of those who died was 83.

No new fatalities were reported in the previous update covering the week ending 1 August. 1,683 positive PCR tests were reported.
