The Arizona Coyotes have signed 2022 first-round draft pick Maverick Lamreux to a three-year, entry-level deal.
Terms of the deal, which was announced Wednesday, were not disclosed. The 18-year-old defenseman was selected 29th overall.
"We are very pleased to have signed an entry-level contract with Maverick," Coyote general manager Bill Armstrong said in a news release. "He's big, he's strong, he's a physical defender, he's a really good skater, he's a good shooter. I'm looking forward to seeing him grow this season." The Ontario native scored 24 points (4 goals, 20 assists) and 69 penalty minutes in 54 games in 2021-22 for Drummondville in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
