There has been a steady stream of TTC-related violence leading up to Thursday’s double stabbing at High Park subway station that left one woman dead and another woman injured.

These are some of the more frightening incidents from just this year:

– A TTC employee was stabbed at Dupont Station while on his was to work on Feb. 9.

– A bus driver was accosted by a group of youths and stabbed on Keele St., south of Lawrence Ave., after a fare dispute on Feb. 16.

– A TTC operator was attacked by six assailants at Sheppard-Yonge Station on March 19.

– Kartik Vasudev, 21, was shot to death at Sherbourne Station on April 7.

– A man was grabbed from behind, choked consciousness and robbed at Pioneer Village Station on April 12.

– Shamsa Al-Balushi was pushed onto the tracks by a stranger at Yonge-Bloor station and rolled over under the ledge to avoid being hit by a train on April 17.

– A man was seriously injured in an unprovoked stabbing at the St. George Station on April 19.

– A child of 12 was sexually assaulted in mid-May on a bus at The West Mall and Burnhamthorpe Rd. on May 15.

– Nyima Dolma, 28, of Toronto, died in hospital a few weeks after she was set on fire by a man on a city bus at Kipling station, near Kipling and Dundas Aves., on June 17. A man, 33, was charged with first-degree murder and other offences.
