Matt Polster scored the seventh of his career to open the scoring as the New England Revolution beat Orlando City SC 3-0 on Saturday night.

New England (7-7-9, 30 points) snapped his sixth straight win with a win.

Orlando City (8-10-6, 30 points) dominated a long game in the first half, but it was the Revolution who broke the deadlock. In the 20th minute, Tommy McNamara spotted a looming Pollster and put a perfectly weighted through ball into his pass. Polster split the Orlando City defense and fired past goalkeeper Pedro Galese.

Wilfrid Captoum gave his team his second goal away in the 51st minute. Kaptoum was in the middle as McNamara sent a quick cross into the box.

As the second half progressed, it looked like Orlando City would be back in the game.

In the 60th minute, Facundo's Torres fired a penalty shot from just inside his area, but the shot bounced off nothing but the crate. In the 68th minute, the Lions threatened again as Alexandre Pato moved inside the penalty area but were unable to block a hard cross.

Instead of the hosts returning to the match, New England scored in the closing minutes when Henry Kessler matched Carls' Gill's corner with his kick in the 75th minute. Added.

Pato had a chance to score a consolation goal as he received a penalty in the 90th minute as he was fouled just outside the area. However, his efforts never threatened goal and sailed high into the stands.

Orlando City in the first half saw New He test England goalkeeper Jorge Petrovic but could not work him out.

He recorded his three saves on the night, but none greater than when he stopped Pato's shot at the top of the 33rd-minute box. Petrovic has kept a clean sheet in three consecutive games since making his debut for the Revolution this season, and has kept a clean sheet in four.

Galese finished the night with his two saves.

Ivan Angulo and Nicholas Gioacchini made their Orlando City debuts in the second half.
