Three other people in the minivan sustained minor injuries
A 73-year-old North York woman was killed and three other people were injured after a car crashed into a minivan on Highway 400 north of Toronto early Friday.
The driver of the car then took off on foot.

Ontario Provincial Police say a red Volkswagen Jetta that was seen driving “at a high rate of speed” collided with a minivan near Rutherford Road in Vaughan around 3 a.m.
A senior in the minivan died at the scene and three other passengers were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
OPP say the driver of the Volkswagen was last seen walking away from the crash and they are urging the driver to call a lawyer and surrender to police.

All Highway 400 southbound lanes between Rutherford Road and Highway 7 were closed as police investigated and conducted the cleanup.
