The emergency department at South Okanagan General Hospital in Oliver, British Columbia will close for the second night this week.
Calling it a diversion rather than a closure,Interior Health said Friday morning that its emergency department would be temporarily closed due to limited doctor availability. issued a statement.

The closures will be from 6:00 pm Saturday to 8:00 am Sunday, Interior Health said the hospital will not have emergency services available.
Emergency services will be unavailable at 6:00 p.m. at the Emergency Department of South Okanagan General Hospital. Saturday, August 20th through Sunday, August 21st at 8:00 AM.

The closure of the hospital is his second in recent days.
On Thursday, Interior Health announced an overnight closure from Thursday evening through Friday morning.
The nearest hospital with emergency services is Penticton Regional Hospital at 550 Carmi Ave.
