Canada won gold in the women's 4x400m Commonwealth Games Relay on Sunday after England crossed the finish line first but were disqualified for a lane violation.

Victoria Offluog, Jody Williams and Amapipi celebrated with Knight at Alexander's stadium, believing England had won her eighth track and field gold at the Games. .
However, the judges later discovered that Williams' leg had run out of lane in his first changeover with Ofluog, disqualifying the team.
Canada was promoted to gold, Jamaica won silver and Scotland won bronze.
