With the release, police said patrol officers approached the vehicle and said, " I noticed that the driver had something on his leg that looked like a pistol. "
The driver was allegedly refused to leave the car and he was arrested.
Handguns and cocaine are allegedly found in subsequent searches.
A 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were to appear in court on Saturday.
