The Citizen invited candidates in the Oct. 24 municipal election to share their thoughts:
In the last 28 years, Ward 10 has been neglected in so many ways. Lack of investment in affordable housing; horrible condition of the roads; lack of proper investment in OC Transpo in order to provide efficient services to the residents of Ottawa; multiple issues with LRT; lack of investment in green spaces; and high crime rate are just examples of issues that the ward is facing off.

My platform is simple. I want to push for more investment in affordable housing and green spaces, fix issues with roads and transit and reduce the crime rate as my main priorities. On top of that, I am the only candidate who has imposed a two-term limit on myself. I do believe that Ottawa is evolving fast and the city needs news ideas every four to eight years. Past experiences showed that when we have a city councillor in office for decades, the productivity level is reduced significantly.
I am not a career politician and I want to fix many outstanding issues in the ward. Realistically, if I don’t deliver my promises to residents of my ward in a defined time frame, then I won’t do it in 28 years, either.
