The regional park’s trails, including the Grouse Grind and Baden-Powell trail, are already closed for the season.

Grouse Mountain resort remains open.

Environment Canada has issued a rain fall warning for Metro Vancouver and Howe Sound as a moist frontal system is expected to bring between 50 to 80 mm of rain to the region. Howe Sound, which includes Squamish and the communities along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, should expect to get the most rain.

The rain is expected to taper off to showers later this afternoon.

The weather agency warned about localized flooding in low-lying areas and cautioned people to stay away from washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
