Residents of Banff are mourning the death of a beloved man in the community after he was murdered in a bar last week.
The Banff RCMP was called to a local bar on Banff His Avenue last Friday at about 2:26 am following reports of a brawl.
Mount found a 26-year-old man injured at the scene. He was taken to Mineral Springs Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, an EMS spokesperson said.

victims was later identified as Ethan Enns-Gonneau.
This is his first murder in a mountain town in over 30 years. May 1990 was the last murder in Banff.

Bunny Julius, Melissa The owner of Miss Steak, Enns-Goneau, always had a smile on his face.Enns-Goneau worked at the restaurant for 13 years.
"I'm trying to understand how this could happen to the least confrontational person I know. I don't think he's ever had a fight, let alone an argument," Julius said. I was.

Julius, the division's researcher, said Enns-Goneau loves being in the mountains and playing sports. Enns-Goneau is remembered as a football and high school rugby player.
"When we closed the other day, about 200 friends and family came through the back door. We opened the back door for everyone [who wanted to pay their respects]. said Julius.
"We'll see what the family wants to do and how they want to move forward."
