Former Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan has struck a plea deal in his domestic violence case in an effort to avoid jail time.
The grown-up child star has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanour counts of menacing and assault in the fourth degree following his arrest in Oregon last year after a fight with his girlfriend.
As a result of the plea deal, the actor’s felony charges – strangulation and coercion – have been dismissed, along with several other misdemeanour charges.
Bryan has been handed three years’ probation and ordered to complete an anti-violence program, according to TMZ.
