Children's bodies are not good at controlling temperature: deadly heat strokes can occur in just 15 minutes
In this episode, everything is better Should be better, Tristin Hopper explains how easy this horrifying situation can happen, and some ways you can prevent it from happening. Watch the video or read the transcript below.
This is a terrible thing that always happens: parents forget their children in a hot car and they die.
As the tragedy progresses, it's especially easy to dismiss these tragedy as something that never happens to you. After all, what kind of monster is forgetting his child in the car?
But here's how these tragedy usually happens: Two working parents alternate between drop-offs for their child's day care. One day it's a mom. One day it's a dad
Now, let's spend a sleepless night. Maybe the child had a nightmare. Maybe they got the bed wet. However, as a result, the next day, the whole family is very tired.
So the moody mom puts a strap on her child, forgets to stop by day care, and drives her to work. After all, she's late ... and it doesn't seem like she drops off every day. And a child? They fall asleep.
Mom parked and jumped out of the car, and she was completely unaware of the child sleeping quietly in the backseat. She may remember at some point during her work. Or, as usual, the complete fear of the situation does not begin until she returns to the parking lot to return to her home.
There are exceptions. In the United States, one-quarter of hot car deaths are caused by children crawling into parked cars and getting stuck.
And on hot enough days, a short trip to the grocery store can kill the child. Children's bodies are not good at controlling temperature, and almost nothing happens when a window cracks. A deadly heat stroke can occur in just 15 minutes.
However, most of the child's death in a hot car is due to the scenario I described. The sleeping child and the missed day care get off.

Forgotten days Is there a way to make sure there isn't a fatal tragedy for your child?
There are a few things you can do next. Tell the day care provider to call you if your child is not dropped unexpectedly. Every time you jump into a car, takes important things such as purses, purses, mobile phones and throws them into the backseat, whether or not you have children.
Now, every time you get out of the car, you need to reach behind. There you can see if a sleeping child happens to be in the car's seat.
And for the rest of you, seeing an unmanned child in your car in the summer, I think it's just one thing you have to deal with. increase. Fortunately, it's very easy to break a car window or at least call 911.
