Jean-Philip Parr defends Canada's junior national golf title with 3-shot victory

Kamloops, British Columbia — Jean-Philippe Parr became the eighth player to win back-to-back Canadian Junior Boys Golf Championship titles.

Parr, from St. Celestin, Quebec, finished Wednesday's final round three strokes ahead of his rival when he finished 3-under 69.

In his 18-year-old career at the University of Tennessee, he posted a 19-under-par 269 in the tournament.

Andre He Chew in Richmond, Ontario His Hill, Ethan Wilson in St He Albert, Alberta and Gavin His Knight in Parksville, British Columbia finished tied for second place.

Jew and Wilson also scored a 3-under 69 in the final round, while Knight posted a 6-under 66.

With this win, Parr clinched his 2023 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and the 2023 Canadian Men's Amateur Championship.

Parr finished fourth at last week's Canadian Men's Amateur Championship, earning a spot in the 2021 Junior National Championships by winning his title.
