Kingston Police are looking for a man to be seen on Lake Ontario off the Crawford Wharf

Kingston police are working with several other emergency services to find a man seen on Lake Ontario near downtown Kingston on Monday night.

According to witnesses, a fully dressed man with a beard was seen jumping into the water of the Block Dock, also known as the Crawford Wharf.

Later, the man was seen swimming about 100 feet from the shore, and witnesses and two others tried to rescue him on a docked ship.

Witnesses Previous Arrived at his place in the water where he lost sight of the man and could not find him.

The Coast Guard searched for the man and failed as well as the Kingston police unmanned Ariel vehicle.

The OPP underwater search and recovery team is scheduled to perform the search.

Police say no fraud is suspected.
