By the time officers arrived on the scene, paramedics were already tending to the victim.
The victim’s life is not believed to be in danger.
Preliminary accounts indicated an argument may have started inside a bar and continued outside, where the shooting took place, Dubuc said.
The police canine unit and forensic technicians were gathering evidence at the scene as of late Sunday morning, she said.
The police were also interviewing the “many possible” witnesses to the shooting, Dubuc said.
