Man killed in Kaledon's garage bay door

A man trapped under the door of Caledon's garage bay Thursday afternoon when he died.

Ontario police said that members of the Caledon Detachment were "unresponsive men" at a commercial facility on Airport Road near King Street at around 3:20 pm. He states that he has responded to the report.

"The first investigation revealed that the man was trapped under the garage bay door. The man was declared dead on the scene," Const said. Joe Brisebore said in a statement issued after the dead.

The name of the deceased was not immediately published to allow notification to his family.

"The Ontario Ministry of Labor and the Federal Ministry of Labor have been notified and are investigating," said Brisebois. "The Chief Prosecutor's Office in Ontario and the OPP Forensic Appraisal Unit support the investigation."
