A 41-year-old man faces multiple charges in a Dauphin court after traffic was stopped and a drug-filled backpack was seized in RCMP, Manitoba .
As part of an ongoing investigation, police said the vehicle stopped at Carr Avenue in Dauphin on August 4 and searched the passengers' backpacks. Police found 61 grams of meth on him and 7 grams on him. A few grams of cocaine, a small amount of 'pur pulldown', cash and a gift card.
Police describe Purple Down as a potentially lethal mixture of fentanyl, carfentanyl and, in many cases, heroin and other drugs.

Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in the face of a man, as well as charges of possession of property obtained by crime and possession of criminal proceeds.
