They will visit the UK in September
Royal Watchers predict Meghan and Harry will receive a frosty reception when they return to the UK next month for three charity events.
"Stepping into a lion's den," royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams described Newsweek Magazine. Given the usual animosity from British tabloids and the decline in popularity the couple is experiencing, with the British public.
Both their past Oprah interviews and the looming publication of Harry's memoir make their first visit to Platinum "pretty difficult" since her jubilee visit in June. It is provided as an item to do.
Earlier this week, a spokesperson for the couple said Prince Harry and Meghan will be visiting "some charities in mind" in early September.
They will be attending the 2022 One Young World Summit in Manchester, England on September 5th. We will also be attending the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany on September 6th. The 2022 Wellchild Awards in London on September 8th.
Commenting on these efforts, Mr. Fitzwilliams said: Obviously, they are not doing their royal duties, but they are still members of the royal family, even though they no longer use the HRH title.
Meghan and Harry will operate with far less public support at their first charity event in the UK since moving to the US.
Citing Oprah and other hurtful interviews, Fitzwilliams said, "Their ratings have fallen staggeringly."
A poll conducted just days before they last visited Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee showed that the couple's popularity had fallen to an all-time low.
More than half of the adults surveyed viewed Harry and Meghan negatively.
However, fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex argue that the royal family allowed the British media to savage the couple as a distraction tactic.
Harry and Negative press coverage of Meghan is said to help divert attention away from Prince William, Prince Charles and Prince Andrew's unattractive behavior.
