Middle Sex-London Health Unit (MLHU) has a vaccination clinic this week for people at high risk of being exposed to theMonkey Poxvirus It is being held.
The clinic will be held Monday and Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm. At the Health Unit at City Plaza in Suite 110, Wellington Street.

"These The clinic is intended for individuals over the age of 18 who are self-identified as belonging to gay, bisexual or other men who have sex with other male communities and have either. Have had more than one sexual contact with or recently used an anonymous dating app, "said Dr. Alex Summers, MLHU's medical officer.
"Monkey Pox is endemic in Ontario and has been reported primarily among gay and bisexual men," he continued. "Communication is the subject of the clinic because it seems to occur primarily through close personal and sexual contact."

Summers says There are no monkeypox virus-specific vaccines, but smallpox vaccines may be effective in alleviating the symptoms of monkeypox.
As of Sunday, there were two confirmed cases of Monkey Pox in London and the Middle Sex area.
MLHU states that the risk of transmission remains low.
Those planning to attend the Monkey Pox Vaccination Clinic do not need to make a reservation and do not need a health card.
