Montreal weather: The groundhog is stirring

Groundhog day is Thursday, Feb. 2. Fred la Marmotte will wake up and peek out of his home in Val d’Espoir to let Quebecers know whether spring will be early. Official spring is 48 days away.

Tuesday, expect a mainly cloudy high of minus-9 C during the day, with a morning wind-chill of minus-17. The low at night will be minus-18 C at night.
