Motorist involved in fatal Laval crash suspected of impaired driving

A 52-year-old man was arrested by Laval police for impaired driving Monday night in the wake of a car crash that left a 65-year-old man dead.

The incident occurred at 11:15 p.m. when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Dagenais Blvd. W. and Esther St. in the city’s Fabreville district.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he was later declared dead. The suspect suffered minor injuries and is expected to face charges of impaired driving causing death.
