It’s nice to dress up for church, but a North Dakota woman did the opposite.

Police said a woman wearing no shirt or bra broke into a Catholic church in Fargo and destroyed a statue of Jesus, according to KVLY.

It happened at St. Mary’s Cathedral around 6:30 p.m. last Tuesday when police were called for a topless woman damaging property. When officers arrived, they said they saw a woman running across the street but were able to detain her,

According to court documents, the woman didn’t have shoes on either.

Police identified her as 35-year-old Brittney Marie Reynolds.

Officers said Reynolds was not able to answer basic questions and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.

The Rev. Riley Durkin provided security camera footage to authorities, and court documents state it showed Reynolds enter the church and knock over a potted plant before making her way to a large Jesus statue on the wall.

The statue was ripped from the wall and smashed on the floor. The woman on the video can be seen leaving shortly after that.

FALSE ADVERTISING?

They say Americans will sue over just about anything, and maybe it’s true.

Some consumers are suing Sazerac Company, Inc., the makers of Fireball whiskey, for fraud and misrepresentation, because the miniature bottles of Fireball don’t actually have any whiskey in them, according to NPR.

The smaller bottles, named Fireball Cinnamon, are made from a blend of malt beverage and wine, while the whiskey-based products are called Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, according to the company website.

Customers were upset the description of the product was “malt beverage with natural whisky & other flavors and carmel color,” insinuating whiskey is an ingredient used in the drink, when it actually uses whiskey flavor, according to the class action lawsuit, which was filed earlier this month in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

“What the label means to say is that the product contains ‘natural whisky flavors & other flavors,’ but by not including the word ‘flavors’ after ‘natural whisky,’ purchasers who look closely will expect the distilled spirit of whisky was added as a separate ingredient,” the complaint says.

The lawsuit further states that given the lack of whiskey, 99 cents for a 1.7 fluid ounce bottle is overpriced.

The Sazerac Company was not immediately available for comment to NPR.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 32-year-old man from Wichita who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. CPR was performed but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to BNONews.com.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said in an update last week that the victim was sitting in the front passenger seat of a pickup truck which was carrying hunting gear and a rifle in the backseat.

After an investigation, police said a dog, which belonged to the owner of the vehicle, stepped on the rifle in the backseat, causing it to fire a single round which killed the passenger.

NOT EGGCELENT

The object that caused the evacuation of a Lousiana street earlier this month was actually an egg, police said.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office said an “unknown possible explosive device” that prompted the evacuation on Saturday, Jan. 21, was not actually anything close to dangerous.

Residents were eventually allowed to return home and were told there was no threat to the public, according to WAFB.

According to SMPSO, 911 contacted dispatch around 11 a.m. about a call that the “unknown possible explosive device” was found at a home in Amelia. Officials said deputies rushed to the scene and were joined by members of the Amelia Volunteer Fire Department.

Investigators said the home’s owner claimed to have received threats against their life and a video of an object wrapped in a bandana that had been placed under the home.

Law enforcement located the object under the home and discovered it was an egg, according to SMPSO.
