A woman was taken to the trauma centre with serious injuries after a four-vehicle pileup on the eastbound Highway 174 at Cameron Street Sunday morning.
She was in serious but stable condition with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to the Ottawa Paramedic Service, whose paramedics were called to the scene in Cumberland at 10:13 a.m.

Ottawa Fire Services said crews had to free a driver who was trapped in one of the vehicles. Firefighters first stabilized the vehicle and then had to completely remove the driver’s side door because of the extent of damage from a side-impact collision.
Firefighters disconnected the batteries of the other vehicles.
