Ottawa police previously reported Tuesday afternoon that they were responding to a shooting at 2000 blocks on Banff Avenue.
Residents are encouraged to avoid the area.
Banff Avenue runs between Walkley Road and Redberry Park, just east of Bank Street in southern Ottawa.
