Police ‘eye in the sky’ locates fleeing suspect in Ajax

after a suspect driving a Porsche SUV had fled from a traffic stop in that town, almost hitting the investigating officer.

Police from DRPS’ Central East Division found the suspect vehicle on Labrador Dr. in Oshawa and made an attempt to stop it.

The driver failed to stop for police and fled at a high rate of speed. 

Air1 was able to locate vehicle and followed it into Ajax.

The suspect vehicle was observed travelling very fast before it was seen to hit a cement barrier and roll onto a residential property on Range Road and Hoile Drive.

The driver was arrested and taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Isaac Stafford, 24, has been charged with more than a dozen offences, including failure to stop for police, dangerous operation, obstruct peace officer, four charges of failure to comply with release order, speeding/stunt driving and unlawful possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (Oxycodone). 

He was held for a bail hearing.
