Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal has agreed to a five-year contract with the club for up to $ 251 million, multiple outlets reported Thursday.

Beal has rejected the $ 36.4 million player option next Wednesday, paving the way for a richer deal.

Beer has spent his last 10 seasons in Washington. In addition to his resignation from Wizards, he had the option of signing a four-year contract with another team as an unlimited free agent.

Beer, 29 years old on Tuesday, is a three-time All-Star, averaging more than 30 points twice per game during the season.

Last season, beer averaged 23.2 points, 6.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds in just 40 games. He underwent end-of-season surgery on his left wrist in February.

Beer, who was ranked 3rd overall in the 2012 draft, averaged 22.1 points, 4.2 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 645 games (611 games) against Washington.
