Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson's disciplinary hearing ended Thursday, media reports said.
Hearing officer Sue L. Robinson sought a post-hearing brief by the week of July 11, ESPN reported.
Robinson, a former U.S. District Court judge jointly elected by the NFL and the NFL Players Association to oversee the case, is expected to "take time" in the decision ESPN. Reported. All parties are allegedly expecting a ruling before Browns reports to the training camp on July 26.
Watson, 26, is a former team from the Houston Texans. Twenty-six women accused him of behavior ranging from sexual assault to inappropriate behavior.
Watson, who denied cheating, resolved 20 of the 24 civil proceedings related to the massage session. The Texans organization has also been accused of "enabling" his actions, as he has allegedly provided him with a nondisclosure agreement to give to a massage therapist.
The NFL, in many reports, is pushing for an indefinite suspension of him with the shortest period of one year's disciplinary action before he qualifies to apply for reinstatement.
The Texans have been suspended for the entire 2021 season as Watson was investigated for criminal misconduct. However, he was not charged, and Browns bought him in a March deal and abandoned three draft elections.
Cleveland has also signed a five-year contract that pays Watson a $ 230 million warranty. However, his salary in 2022 is reported to be only $ 1 million to protect him from the potential for long-term suspension.
