Reported Thursday, free agent shooting guard Malikmonk has agreed to a two-year $ 19 million deal with Sacramento Kings.
This move causes Monk to reunite with point guard Darlon Fox. Darlon Fox is a high octane backcoat partner with Kentucky for the 2016-17 season.
Monk, 24, averaged the Los Angeles Lakers career best of 13.8 points last season. He also set a career record for rebound (3.4), assist (2.9) and 3-point basket (173).
Monk spent his first four NBA seasons in Charlotte Hornets, scoring twice in double digits, but started only one match during his tenure.
Overall, his career score averages 10.3 points in 309 games (38 starts).
Monk was ranked 11th overall by Hornets in the 2017 draft. Fox was chosen fifth by Kings.
