Gorgui Dieng returns to San Antonio Spurs and, according to multiple reports, agrees to the terms of the one-year contract.
Dien, 32, spent the last season in the Atlanta Hawks, playing short stints at the Spurs in the 2020-21 season, as well as the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Dien entered 10 seasons, averaging 3.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 8.4 minutes in 44 games (3 starts) against the Hawks last season.
He arrives when the Spurs ship their second year Center Jock Landale in exchange for the Hawks, including the All-Star Dejounte Murray.
The first draft topic of 2013, Dien remained in Minnesota until February 2020, averaging 7.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 597 games (208 starts).
