The suspect at the center of the Saskatchewan Amber Alert has a sexual offense record, confirmed at an RCMP press conference.
On Tuesday, RCMP told Mr Martin Moore his 50-year-old Benjamin in East End, Sask. He has a history of sexual crimes against children and vulnerable people and has been convicted of sexual interference and possession of child pornography.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., Amber Her Alert was issued to 7-year-old Luna Potts and her 8-year-old Hunter Potts at the request of the Shanavon RCMP. on monday.
Children are considered endangered in Moore's presence. Police say her 45-year-old Leah Potts, the children's mother, is believed to be Moore's common-law partner and traveler with her.
The Shaunavon RCMP has been asked to assist the Department of Social Services in investigating allegations surrounding Moore. The RCMP said Moore, her two children and their mother had vacated their home before police began questioning them.
The ministry then sought an order to arrest the children, resulting in the issuance of an Amber Alert.
The RCMP said Moore failed to report a change of primary or secondary residence to the registration center as required by the Sex Offender Registration Act.
As a result, Moore was indicted and an arrest warrant issued.
They may be traveling in a 2015 dark blue Chevy Equinox, Alberta license plate CGC2492.
The RCMP said it was working to extend the alert to South Dakota.
Following the alert, the RCMP said an individual reported an incident involving Moore to police. said.
"We encourage anyone who may have been a victim of Benjamin Moore to call the police," Saskatchewan RCMP South District Superintendent Tyler Bates said at a press conference. Told.
