TORONTO — Serena Williams has said she will retire from tennis after the US Open, which begins later this month.
Williams, who is in Toronto to attend the National Her Bank Open, announced in Vogue magazine.
23-time Grand Slam champion says he's "looking forward to the next few weeks."
Williams, who beat Nuria Palizas Diaz 6-3 6-4 in Toronto yesterday, is his fifth champion in the Canadian competition. It was Williams' first win since the 2021 French Open.
