The Royal Canadian Mintwill issue a special coin commemorating the late musiclegend Oscar Peterson.
The $1 circulation coin will be unveiled at an event in Toronto this morning.
Treasurer Chrystia Freeland will attend Jazz with his pianist widow Kelly Peterson and his daughter Celine Peterson.

Born in Montreal in 1925, Peterson is one of the greatest jazz pianists of his generation. Widely recognized as one of the winners of numerous Juno Awards. A Grammy Award winner for his 60-year career.
He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame before dying of kidney failure in 2007 at the age of 82.
