Ottawa — According to Statistics Canada, April Gross domestic product increased by 0.3%. ..
The agency states that growth was driven by the mining, quarrying, oil and gas mining sectors and the customer industry.
However, early May estimates also show that the economy for that month shrank by 0.2%.
The official reading for May is scheduled for July 29th.
According to Statistics Canada in April, oil and gas mining increased the mining, quarrying and oil and gas mining sectors by 3.3%. It increased by 3.9%.
The accommodation and food services sector increased 4.6% and the arts, entertainment and recreation sector increased 7.0%.
