Jonathan Scoop hit a homer and scored three runs as Garrett Hill recorded his second major league win as the hosts Detroit Tigers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 9-1 on Saturday.

Harold Castro had his 3 hits, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI, while Javier Baez scored his 2 runs.

Hill (2-3) stole six as he gave up one run and six hits in 5 2/3 innings. he walked three Rays ace Shane McClanahan (10-5) allowed 4 runs and his 6 hits in 6 1/3 innings.
