"We are now expanding the search," said his son Michael Madeira, 40, on Monday afternoon.

"This week we're focusing on a homeless shelter in the heart of downtown. We suspect he fell into a group of people. He said, I'm just going through this state of mind where I don't know where I am...Maybe I'm giving them water or food.So downtown is the easiest to get to everything. And walking is the easiest way to get him. It's not a silly walk from where they live (Eglinton and Oakwood Avenues).''

Madeira said her father may also be developing dementia, but she has been diagnosed with dementia. has not received

"He went for his usual walk," said Michael, adding that he was walking with a limp.  “The support has been great because he is well known in the area because he walks all the time.

Anthony Madeira is described as having a skinny build at 5 feet 5 inches and 150 pounds. He has a fair complexion, hazel eyes, short balding white hair, and a full white beard. He might have had colored pants, brightly colored shoes, and an orange and black baseball cap.

"The thing that stands out the most now is whether he's wearing the same clothes. Obviously I don't know—  But what he probably still has is this big, white, bushy beard. "He can't do it with a razor. It's pretty full, so he needs to be trimmed."
