Toronto raccoons survive the heat by swimming in the pool

Even raccoons have to beat the heat sometimes.

And this week, with temperatures in Toronto well above her 30s, the raccoon did just that.

Instead of digging in the trash as usual, this raccoon went for a swim in the backyard pool.

The swoop looked fun and was captured on video,and posted on TikTok.

The poster said he had never seen a raccoon in his pool.

"This raccoon is literally swimming on purpose," she says in the video. "It came into our pool to swim.
