Toronto Raptors to Host Cleveland Cavaliers to Start New NBA Season Oct. 19

TORONTO — The Toronto Raptors will play nine nationally televised games in the United States this season.

The Raptors announced their 2022-23 season schedule on Thursday. Among the highlights are two games each on ESPN and TNT, and his other five games on NBATV.

The Raptors will host the Cleveland Cavaliers on his October 19th, kicking off his 28th NBA season. It will be his 11th consecutive start at home and the 22nd in team history. Their first road game will be in Brooklyn on October 21st.

Other season highlights include his December 7 home date with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Raptors will host the NBA champion Golden States Warriors on December 18th, and on March 14th he will host last year's MVP Nikola Jokic and his Denver Nuggets.

Former Raptors star Kyle Lowry and Miami Heat on November 16 and he will visit Toronto's Scotiabank his arena twice on March 28. .

The eighth annual Giants of Africa Game, commemorating the life of Nelson Mandela, will be against Boston on December 5th.

Thursday's NBA schedule will feature four games, two home and two away.

The Raptors' longest homestand was six games from January 4 to 14, and his longest away trip was seven games from January 25 to February 5. Two backs this season is two less than last season.

Home games start Monday through Friday at 7:30. Saturday games start at 5pm, 7pm, 7:30pm or 8pm. Sunday games finish at 1:00, 3:00, 3:30 or 6:00 pm.
