In July 2020, the agency began an investigation into the alleged drug trafficking activities of a group known as the Wolfpack operating in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

As a result, a number of suspects were identified and, between October 2020 and May 2021, several search warrants were executed on residences at various Vancouver locations, according to a CFSEU news release Friday.

The Public Prosecution Service of Canada approved 11 criminal charges, including organized-crime-related charges, against a number of alleged Wolfpack-aligned drug traffickers.

Facing charges are: Joseph Ebert Charles Lowley, 39, of Vancouver; Vinod Kanna Aruldevarajan, 27, of Vancouver; Medina, 30, of Burnaby; Hemen Hewa Saed, 30, of Vancouver; Diego Maradona Saed, 23, of New Westminster; and Howjeen Saed, 27, of Vancouver.

Diego Saed has not been located and remains wanted on warrants in relation to his charges. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
