After a forgettable 11-month stint in the NFL, former college head coach Urban Meyer is back in one of his former jobs.

Fox announced Friday that Meyer will be returning for his 2022 college football season on Saturday morning show "Big Noon Kickoff," with Brady Quinn, Matt Reinert and Reggie Bush will be joined by host Matt Stone.

Mayer was head coach with the Jaguars in 2019 and he was on the show in 2020.

The Jaguars fired Mayer on his Dec. 16 after a string of off-field behavioral blunders. After a last-minute loss in a "Thursday Night Football" game over the Cincinnati Bengals, Meyer, who is married, couldn't go home with the team, and was later harassed by a woman in a bar on top of him. It was seen in a video dancing closely in Columbus, Ohio.

Mayer denied reports that coaching called his staff losers and demanded that his resume be "defended" to him. On December 15, the Tampa Bay Times reported that Meyer kicked former Jaguars kicker Josh in his Lambo leg during a preseason pregame stretch.

In a report published on December 15, Rambo said he responded to Meyer's kick by saying, "Don't kick me again!" And his response was, "I'm a headball coach. I'll kick you whenever I want."

This report soon led to Mayer's dismissal. The Jaguars were 2-11 at the time.

Prior to Jacksonville, Meyer was best known as a college head coach, with two in Florida (2006, 2008) and Ohio (2014) where he was a three-time coach. We won the national championship.

Although off-field controversies arose during his college career, Meyer turned a blind eye to domestic violence allegations against one of his assistant coaches in 2018. The most serious thing happened when it was reported that Ohio State suspended Meyer and ultimately suspended him for three games.

Meyer cited personal health reasons when he retired from both Florida in 2010 and his 2018 in Ohio.

He said in his April podcast appearance, "Big Noon Kickoff."
