Weather: sticky humidex near 36 with likely showers and risk of a thunderstorm

The forecast is, in a word, sticky.

Thursday’s high is forecast to feel like 36 with likely showers then it’s rising temperatures and rain or the risk of it every day through early next week.

The exception is a sunny Saturday — so plan to get out and enjoy it.

Thursday is increasingly cloudy with a 70 per cent chance of afternoon showers and the risk of a thunderstorm, Environment Canada predicts. The wind becomes southwest at 20 km/h near noon. The high is 29 C.

Overnight, expect showers with the risk of a thunderstorm and a low of 19 C.

A few showers end Friday morning then skies clear. The high is 29 C and the humidex is 37.

Saturday’s sunny skies come with a high of 32 C and low of 21 C.

Mixed skies and a 30 per cent chance of showers day and night are on tap for Sunday with a high of 32 C and low of 22 C.

Monday and Tuesday are both cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers day and night.

But temperatures start to drop from a high of 30 C and low of 21 C Monday to a high of 26 C and low of 18 C Tuesday.

Wednesday’s forecast is for mixed but dry skies and a high of 28 C.
