Aldi is the latestsupermarketto join the Too Good To Go food waste app as part of a new trial.

Too Good To Go allows shoppers to purchase "magic bags" of damaged or expiring products.

The trial will run at seven Aldi stores in the North East of England, with 'magic bags' priced at £3.30 each.

Bags must be ordered using the Too Good To Go app, which is free to download.

You can't decide what to put in your bag. Available same day, but products are worth at least £20.

Liz Fox, Corporate Responsibility Director at Aldi UK said: It's important for the planet and to support people who want the best possible value for their groceries.

"This trial will show us whether Too Good To Go can make better use of foods that are nearing the end of their lifespan, while also offering customers products at even more surprising prices than usual."

Too Good To Go partners with retailers and small independent stores to turn the food that is thrown away at the end of the day into a 'magic'. We sell bags.

So you're not only putting money in your pocket, you're also saving the planet.
