Andreas Pereira says Manchester United stars are “giving their lives” for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – as they believe in his vision.

The Brazilian, 23, has benefited from Solskjaer’s backing after being on the brink of leaving Old Trafford last summer.

But after signing a long-term deal until 2023 the midfielder can see United are on the march again.

“We put our heads together and decided we must stick together. This manager is good for us, we all know it and we are giving our lives for him.

“We know he wants the best for us. He has brought back belief and he has brought back an edge.

Pereira has hailed Solskjaer's impact

“The edge you expect from Manchester United that says it is never over until it is over. We always fight for the three points.

“We are mentally much stronger. We are more a team and give our life for each other on the pitch.

“The team is now beginning to click and although we cannot say now that we will be in the top four, but we certainly want to get closer to them.

“And I am sure by the end of the season we will be one of the best teams in the league again.

“He has been massive for me. Perhaps if he’d not been at the club I might not have been at the club. I have to be thankful.
